Inproving agility and speed in soccer?

I am trying to help my 8 yr old improve her agility and speed for her travel soccer. Does anyone have any great drills to see an improvement quickly?

Well try to get her to run several sprints with full recovery in between

One trick my husband use to use when he was younger was putting light band weights on his ankles for practice. Only one pound on each foot should do it for her age. When she runs her drills and jogs with the team, her muscles will build, making her faster when the weights are off during the games.

Also, there are a lot of good soccer drill books available. I recommend hitting your local library, or even run to a bookstore and just peruse through them to find something that she is comfortable trying.
get some of those weights that strap around ur ankles for her to run with. you can also make her run drills thru cones like jumping between them, side stepping thru them and thing like that. i play travel and we have mls trained coaches and thats what we do for our agility, as well as a lot of normal sprinting.
"quick improvement" only leads to injury and sucks the fun out of anything. the only way to go is practice, practice practise. and make sure your little athlete is getting enough vitamins.
have her swim like competeive swimming for like a month and she'll have awesome agilty or have her run short spirnt our make her doing something fun like maybe inside ur house like jumping up and stuff and catching stuff it biulds up agilty fast and it's fun!
using ladders

many sprints

don't get her some weights, they are bad for knees and will eventually start hurting her ankles
