I always liked soccer but I never learned how to play(well). I would like to practice and get better but are there any programs, leagues, etc. that welcome amatuers and not bench warmers. Also, are there any places that teach people how to play?

Ask a coach at your school. Contact a YMCA. Look in the phone book for soccer leagues. Inquire at the Parks and Recreation office. Do a Yahoo Search: soccer training NYC.
